Medior Financial accountant (Logistics)

Here, you’ll be building the financial backbone of an international supply chain. Your numbers steer the daily operation of our Logistics Center. You work with colleagues across the globe, dive into real-life cases from the warehouse floor and make sure every booking is correct. Was that inventory booked properly? Is that cost in the right place? You’ll figure it out, make the call and see the effect straight away in the P&L. This is accelerated learning, with cross-border visibility and impact at scale.

Thanks to you, every logistics euro is correct, visible and recorded on time. You’re in daily contact with operations and international colleagues and you keep the month-end close tight, so management can act on reliable figures straight away.

Concretely, you will:

• Run a smooth month-end close: correctly processing assigned general ledger accounts, freight in and freight out, intercompany sales and cost of goods, preparing and posting accruals and prepayments, and delivering monthly reconciliations.
  
• Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, investigate and correct differences so the administration fully reconciles.
  
• Analyse EMEA ICMU balances and work with international colleagues to explain and eliminate mark-up variances.
  
• Support monthly reporting to the Sr. Financial Controller and FP&A with well-founded analyses.
  
• Provide information for internal and external audits on time and execute processes in line with SOX and applicable accounting standards.

You also bring:

• 
  
• A completed degree in Finance & Control, Accountancy or a comparable discipline.
  
• 2+ years of experience in a Financial Accountant role; experience in an international company with a broad product portfolio is a plus.
  
• Strong skills in Excel and ERP systems; platforms such as SAP or Oracle hold no secrets for you.
