Factory preparation competence engineer

As a Factory Preparation Engineer, your work ensures smooth installations, flawless qualifications, and continuous improvements that keep us ahead in innovation.

In this role, you will contribute to introducing new facility designs for (new) factories, helping us deliver on time and with exceptional quality. You’ll support customers in preparing for EUV by reviewing and delivering technical documentation, and you’ll bring knowledge to life through on-site visits, transferring expertise, solving technical challenges, and sharing best-known methods globally. You will act as second-line support for infrastructure and interconnects in the ASML factory.

The EUV Factory is responsible for producing and installing EUV machines. New products from Development & Engineering are transferred to the factory for volume production and optimized before shipment to customers. Within the EUV Install department, our Factory Preparation Engineering (FPE) team ensures that during New Product Introduction (NPI), all work preparation is completed for flawless installations. After NPI, we continue driving improvements for facilities and pre-installation processes.

In the role of an engineer in FPE you will be part of a center of technical excellence influencing design decisions made by D&E to secure factory preparation and reviewing the outcomes for content and quality.

To execute the preparation you will define and influence processes and tooling to secure volume factory preparation.

You will create, release and maintain the HVM Pre Install Package which includes:

•  Installation Requirements Manual 

• Pre-Install Manual

• Utility Data Sheets

• Some technical Drawings

At the customer site you will  present on-line /on-site to customers and local Customer Support offices the detail of new or updated Pre-install Packages,  Support pre-install execution by local Customer Support offices / ASML factory with your expertise.

To secure the quality and completeness of the preparation you will audit the customer factory preparations before arrival of a new system type or platform and  Initiate improvement proposals based on customer/ASML fab experience.

Dependent on the phase of the process you may be required to review and write procedures, sequences and checklists for the interconnect materials and act as second line [Production Engineer] support for infra and interconnects in our Veldhoven ASML factory. 

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a study with project management and technical disciplines combined, like Industrial Engineering and design.

• 3-5 years technical experience in an engineering role, preferably with customer exposure.

For this position, the indicative (fixed) annual salary range is between 75,000 euro and85,000 euro. This range comprises vacation allowance and a 13th-month payment. Company profit sharing and shift allowance (if applicable) are not included in this range. The actual compensation offered will depend on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: job-related skills, relevant Education and (work) experience, certifications, demonstrated abilities of the candidate, pay relative to other team members.
