Your role and responsibilities

Develop Cutting-Edge Software for Terminal and Logistics

Barriers, weighbridges, card readers, and more: you make it all work seamlessly. As a software developer at ABB, you’ll rise to the challenge of creating, testing, and optimizing innovative solutions for our customers. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

What Will You Do at ABB?

Design and extend functionality for our Yard Management System, which optimizes vehicle flow, manages access control, and provides real-time visibility of onsite vehicles. Execute projects and services independently. Collaborate with an experienced technical lead to identify the best technical solutions and ensure our software stays up to date. Test your own work and occasionally review a colleague’s code to guarantee flawless performance.

Your Team

Our software team is growing rapidly and focuses on productizing current solutions. We work independently, embrace agile methodologies, and respond quickly to challenges. Collaboration and adaptability are key. In our team, you have the freedom to shape solutions and the space to turn bold ideas into reality.

Qualifications for the role

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in ICT or equivalent experience

• Excellent command of English

• 3–5 years of experience in software development

• Strong knowledge of C#, Windows Forms, WPF, WebAPI, Xamarin, and SQL Serve

• Industrial communication protocols knowledge

Additional information:

• The role is hired only in Belgium and The Netherlands with required hybrid office presence 2 days/week

• On-call duty required approximately every 3 weeks
