Become our new Senior R&D Project Manager

As a Senior R&D Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind turning ambitious technical concepts into successful, compliant, and market‑ready solutions. Building on your ability to lead medium to large, complex R&D projects from early concept to end‑of‑life, you will bring clarity, direction, and strategic focus to every phase of development.

Your challenge:

In this role, you elevate not only the quality of our project execution, but also the way our organization collaborates. By connecting people, processes, and strategy, you help shape next‑generation bioreactor technologies that meet the highest industry standards and push the boundaries of bioprocessing innovation.

What will you do?

• Develop strategic project plans aligned with business goals.
• Lead medium to large, complex R&D projects throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Manage budgets, resources, schedules, and drive proactive risk mitigation.
• Coordinate cross‑functional project teams across R&D, Product Management, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.
• Communicate progress and risks to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Foster psychological safety within teams and coach team members and team leads.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Sales to translate customer needs into project requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including suppliers, institutes, and international R&D groups.
• Continuously improve project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Knowledge, skills and experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in R&D project management, ideally in biotechnology or life sciences.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale or complex technical projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Experience with quality and compliance standards (e.g., GAMP5).
• Willingness to travel internationally.
